Love sambal stingray? Don't know how to make one? Try air frying it instead of grilling!
What you need:
- Stingray fillet - you can get them cheap at your local fishmonger
- Sambal - sambal recipe here. Else you can just buy them premade in jars.
This is delicious |
- An airfryer!
What to do:
- Defrost the stingray fillet
- Cut out a suitable piece of aluminium foil and place the stingray in it
- Rub the fillet with sambal
- Wrap it up and keep it in the meat keeper for 3-4 hours
- When it's time to cook, heat up the airfryer at 200 deg
- Place the stingray in the aluminium foil inside the airfryer's basket, you may want to open the foil up a little. Don't wrap it up tightly.
- Set the timer to around 10 mins
Usually people will say flip it or stir it, but I'm too lazy, and also it tends to be a little wet, so I don't, and it always turns out fine anyway.
I take about 20 mins for the whole thing, 10 mins to prep and toss into the meat keeper for later, and 10 mins to airfry it. Simple!
Enjoy!
